Last night I started working on a new project after failing with the Micro Techone EPP Yak 54. I had spent quite a bit of money getting all the electronics for the Yak to find that the airframe was not that good at all so started to think what I could transfer the gear to
And here is is..... A all depron constructed Eurofighter made from 6mm & 3mm white depron, 14 inch span and a AUW expected to be around 60g - 70g. The motor being used should provide around 90g - 100g of thrust with a 3 x 4.8 prop, 40watts and around 5amps.
Motor - BRC hobbies 5g 3000kv outrunner
ESC - 6 Amp Brushless with micro JST connector
Battery - Hyperion 2S1P 120mAh 25c
Receiver - Spektrum AR6300
Servo's - Blue Arrow 2.5g with micro JST Connector
It took just one night to cut out the parts, assemble and install servos and receiver, would have had the motor and ESC installed too if BRC had sent me the right motor...lol
Spoken to BRC this morning and hopefully they will have the correct motor out to me by friday with a veiw to maiden flight indoors sunday afternoon. Will let you know the outcome but for now here are some pictures of the build so far.
I can provide copies of the parts template's and advise on the build if anyone is interested!!
Regards,
Alan
