Club diary 2010

The following event dates are now confirmed. Effort is made by the committee to hold our events on alternative dates to other UK modeling shows. To fly at  our "Electric fly-in", pilots must hold a BMFA "A" certificate for any model being flown. There will be an assistant for each pilot on the flight line. This person can be provided by the club, or be one of your flying colleagues if you prefer. Proof of insurance and certificate of competence will need to be shown before flying. This event is not open to the general public, but showing at least one BMFA membership card will allow you onto the airfield. The other two events are full weekend events, and are open to the general public. You must hold a BMFA "B" certificate to fly at one of these events, due to the presence of the general public.

The flying will commence at 10:00 on each date, and end at around 16:00.

Before you travel to any theses events, email the named person below for the respective events to confirm it still going ahead, and for any additional information about the day.    

    Electric 'Fly-in and swapmeet' - Sunday June 6th       Event entry form

Electric Fly-In  Hucknall Airfield ‘A’ Certificate required. Pilots and Helpers only. 

This event will include a 'Swapmeet' - Open to anyone holding current BMFA membership, but not the general public.

Jet Weekend - September 25th / 26th      Event entry form

Jet Weekend  Hucknall Airfield. Turbine and Ducted fan Jet models only ‘B’ Certificate required. No prop propelled jet looking models.

This is a public event with a minimum car parking charge..   Camping available Fri. p.m. to Mon. a.m.

Club meetings 2010

Club meetings are held in the recreational society facilities at the airfield on the first Tuesday of the Month. Between May and August meetings will start at 21:00 hours, all other meetings commence at 20:00 hours. the delay of one hour during the summer months, is to give us a chance to have a flight or two before these meetings.

Indoor flying dates 2010

There is  a new Indoor flying Venue in the centre of Hucknall.

It is not part of the RR MAC, but some of the members also attend the indoor meetings.
