Turbine powered models

A U2  built by club member Pete Smith from a  G Bertella plan and intended to be powered by a ducted fan unit. Balsa, ply and foam construction.  2.615m span, this model has made about 35 successful flights, including several shows. It appeared for 4 flights at the our last jet meeting.

Pete converted his model to turbine power using a  mw 44. The fuel tank had to be specially made as well as the jet tube. Balsa Craft pusher plan built up and converted by Dennis Belleini and John Kirkland for John. The model is now powered by a Wren turbine.
